Take orders from any iPad, Android tablet, or phone. The whole point-of-sale fits a 375 px screen — designed for one-handed service.
Replace paper tickets. 20pt+ type, two-beep new-order chime, colour-coded age timer — reads from across the line.
Drag-and-drop layout editor, live table status (open / paying / served), one-tap order routing from any table.
Diner scans, pays with Apple Pay or Google Pay on their own phone, you keep your point-of-sale free for the next order.
Keep your existing Square reader — PosGPT plugs straight in via Square’s OAuth. No new merchant agreement.
Natasha’s Law allergens are mandatory per item. Tipping Act 2024 separates tips from service. UK VAT computed per line, not on totals.
One login, every outlet. Per-outlet menus, separate Z-reports, shared staff roles. Built for chains from day one.
Live revenue, item mix, payment mix, refunds. Z-report at midnight; X-report any time. HMRC-immutable once closed.
Setup is meant to take an hour, not a week.
Restaurant name, your email, a password. Add a card (no charge during the 60-day trial). You’re inside the dashboard in under 2 minutes.
Paste a CSV or type categories + items inline. Set allergens once per item; the POS and receipts pick it up automatically.
Connect Square for card. Print or QR for receipts. The kitchen display goes on any spare tablet. Start taking orders.
Friday biryani rush or Monday-lunch sit-down — PosGPT runs on what you’ve already got. Pick the shape that matches your kitchen.
One location, one menu, 4–30 covers. Pos-GPT plan at £49/mo (or £39 with LAUNCH20). Take orders, fire kitchen, take payment — no hardware lock-in.
High-velocity counter service. Pay-by-QR keeps the queue moving; allergen tags meet Natasha’s Law for grab-and-go food. Mobile till runs on any iPad on the counter.
Delivery-only, no dine-in. The Kitchen Display routes tickets by service mode; reports separate takeaway vs delivery revenue for Deliveroo/UberEats reconciliation.
Pos-GPT Growth plan at £79/outlet/mo. One dashboard for every outlet, cross-outlet reporting, centralised menu push, group VAT report for the accountant.
Honest, specific, no fluff. Last reviewed May 2026 — vendor pricing & features change, so always confirm on their site before deciding.

Any iPad, Android tablet, laptop, or phone with a modern browser. No proprietary hardware to buy — bring whatever you already own. The POS is mobile-first, so a 375 px phone works as well as a 13-inch iPad.
60 days, no transaction limits. A card is required to start the trial (handled by Paddle) but you’re not charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel any time from your account.
Yes. PosGPT integrates with Square for card payments — connect your existing Square account and your existing reader keeps working. No new merchant agreement, no rate change.
Yes. Data stays on EU servers (London region). Diner data is minimal by design — we only collect what’s needed for the bill and receipt. Owners can export or erase any record via the dashboard.
Yes. Allergens are required at item creation (you can’t ship a menu item without an explicit allergen decision), shown on the POS, and printed on customer-facing receipts where applicable.
Tips and service charges are tracked separately, can be removed with a single tap (no friction for staff), and are reported transparently in the daily Z-report so you can pass them on to staff in line with the Act.
Two owners. Two service styles. Same product. Here’s what they actually told us.
“Two months in and PosGPT pays for itself. We dropped a stack of bills by plugging into the Square reader we already owned, the kitchen display ended ‘lost ticket’ arguments on Fridays, and our accountant can finally read the daily Z. The 60-day trial was long enough to actually decide.”

“We were paying our old POS over a hundred a month and still couldn’t update the menu without phoning support. PosGPT got us onto the iPads we already owned in an afternoon — items, allergens, modifiers all done from the dashboard while I was on the line. Pay-by-QR cut our breakfast queue clean in half.”
